  • Theoretical condensed matter physics:

    • Quantum theory of many-body systems
    • Mesoscopic physics: Quantum electronics, Electron transport in nanostructures, Kondo physics in quantum dots, Nanomagnetism and spintronics
    • Numerical calculations on strongly correlated systems: Quantum monte carlo, Numerical renormalization group (NRG),
      Density-matrix renormalization group (DMRG), and matrix-product formalism
  • Quantum optics and quantum information processing:

    • Physical implementations of quantum computation
    • Quantum information processing using nanostructures
    • Theory of entanglement
    • Circuit and cavity QED, engineering of photonic qubits
