A quick overview of classical and modern origins of these arts is a good place to begin. All of these arts are predomainently Japanese in origin. And all of them deal with use of the Japanese sword. An attempt to give a taste of history of Japan and its influences on the sword is given first, and then quick overviews of each of the charateristic styles of the way of the sword.
